KISS These games originally used Rectifier board AS-2518-49 that had 2 additional TO-3 diodes installed on an extended board.
The cables on J1-Pin 7 and J1-Pin 9 are the same and should be removed from the J1-Pin 9 connector and attached to the J1-Pin 7 connection. (Both wires go to J1-Pin 7.)

The problems associated with the original Gottlieb driver board are four-fold - connections to the CPU can be corroded and cause poor driver/lamp signals; the MPS-U45 is a very difficult transistor to find; the old 2N3055 transistors burned holes through the PCB, and a failed driver board will cause as much damage to a sound board as a failed sound board would do in reverse. Ni-Wumpf has redesigned the System 80 driver board to address all these issues, and adds in a few more features that should prove useful:
* Each solenoid has fault detection circuitry that identifies failed playfield/driver board components.
Each driver circuit is equipped with fault detection circuitry and LED's to indicate circuit failure.
Note that the LED will remain lit when a game does not support the associated playfield driver components.
Works in the Gottlieb Star Series 80 games including Panthera, Haunted House, Devils Dare, Spiderman, Volcano, Counterforce, Mars, Circus and others.

This new reproduction wiring harness replaces the harness between the Gottlieb system 1 mpu board and the driver transistor board that often becomes corroded from battery acid leakage. Replace that harness when replacing the cpu board and eliminate future problems.
